A Weekend to Remember at Omaha
240 players, two days of golf and more than $35,000 in prizes — the JBWere Scramble delivered a fantastic weekend at Omaha Beach Golf Club.
Held on 3–4 October 2026, this year’s Scramble brought members and visitors together for one of the biggest events on the club calendar. Through sunshine and rain, the weekend was full of friendly competition, great company and plenty of stories to take home.
The golf was only part of the experience. Saturday night’s dinner, catered by Krave Catering, gave players a chance to catch up, share the day’s highlights and enjoy the return of the Calcutta. Out on the course, sponsor activations added to the fun, with The 19th Golf Escapes welcoming players at Hole 2 and Omaha Distillers bringing a taste of their gin to the weekend.
It was a wonderful showcase of the course and the people who make Omaha special. With the golf, hospitality, prizes and atmosphere all coming together, we reckon this has to be one of the best Scramble weekends in the country!

Congratulations to the 2026 champions
Keith Murray, Phil Haydon, Elizabeth Jeffs and Dan Notley claimed the title with rounds of 52.62 and 56.62, finishing on 109.24 nett.

A prize table worth getting excited about
The weekend featured 12 prize packages with a combined value of more than $35,000. Teams were able to take their pick of the table, choosing the package that suited them best.
The line-up included Millbrook vouchers, golf at Cape Kidnappers, a Formosa stay and play package, Crowne Plaza Queenstown accommodation, TaylorMade drivers, Nike golf bags, GWX trundlers, golf clothing and plenty more.
Golf vouchers also offered future adventures at Windross Farm, Muriwai, Pupuke, Whitford Park, Maungakiekie, Waipu, Waitangi, New Plymouth and Omaha. Hams, dining vouchers, drinks and products from Sistema and Snells Packaging added even more variety to the table.
A huge thank you to everyone who donated prizes, supplied vouchers or helped put these packages together. That generosity made the prizegiving a memorable part of the weekend.
Proudly supported by JBWere
Omaha Beach Golf Club extends a special thank you to JBWere, the event’s title sponsor and a Diamond Sponsor of the club.
JBWere’s continued support helps the club deliver this flagship event and contributes to the wider Omaha golfing community throughout the year. We are grateful to have them behind the Scramble and the club.

The people behind the weekend
An event of this size takes a huge team effort. Our thanks go to the greenkeeping team for preparing and presenting the course, and to the volunteers who gave their time and energy to help the weekend run smoothly.
Thank you also to our Golf Shop, office, bar and wider club staff for the long hours and work behind the scenes, and to Krave Catering and the Estuary Café team for looking after the food and hospitality.
Above all, thank you to the players. The smiles, banter and sporting spirit are what give the JBWere Scramble its character and keep people coming back.
